"Project and program management is the art and science of planning, controlling and tracking of activities and resources to achieve the organization’s strategic and business objectives."

Visualizing Processes

Visualizing processes and how to project them it's not an easy task. A structured approach is needed for capturing and document this information.

Each process has to have a purpose, entry criteria that triggers it, input(s), tasks (a list of actions bringing the results), output(s), work aids (there might be functionalities to support the process), and a criteria for exiting the process. This structured approach is ususally outlined on a template and serves as a guide for analysis purposes.
